I plan to get my motorcycle license soon and have been riding dirt bikes all my life. My dad rides a Honda CRF 250x with a dual sport kit and a BMW 1200gs but with me being only 5ft 2in height is a big problem for these bikes and a big 1200 is just too much anyway. How do I prevent my stairwell gutter from clogging?

I have a walk up basement with a gutter in the stairwell just outside my basement door. The gutter works great except that we have several trees whose leaves clog the gutter during spring and fall which causes the water to rise in the stairwell, enter my door and flood my basement. I have considered 2 options a) use one of the elevated gutter guards and b) cover the walkup/stairwell (about 8 steps) with a plastic/fibreglass awning or enclosure to prevent any leaves or water collecting in the stairwell thereby preventing the leaves from reaching the stairwell. BTW, I dont think option a) will work, but am open to any suggestions

My cat's acting weird... Please help!!! She's not herself and I love her :(?

My cat is 15 years old. She does everything she always has (purr, eat, drink and sleep normally, and from what my mom says, using the box normally, and even going outside to play). I don't know, she just seems a little lethargic lately, kind of lazier. She does have CRF, but it's in its early stages. My mom suspects a UTI, but the littler box usage is normal (from what she says anyway). She has hyperthyroidism, but is on medication and seems okay with that. Cat had a panic attack?

About an hour ago, my cat was quietly sitting in his bed but suddenly got up and began frantically running around the house and licking his chest and front paws. For about fifteen minutes he was wide eyed and had a fearful expression on his face, but I can't figure out why this happened because the house was quiet and there was nothing that was going on that might spook him. Wow ! you have true motivation. This is really impressive and it really looks like you want to follow real ambitions and make a differerence in your life. Keep up the positive attitude. So here are a few things to watch out for: Make sure you have a 4.0 GPA every single term and every single year. A- and A+ just get turned into A's on the final report card. So as long as you can maintain a status quo of more than 90% in all subjects that would look great on your application though it is hard. Secondly, make sure you can join enough clubs, around 3 or even two is fine. Make sure you are actively involved in one club at least and try to run for officer and get elected. Thirdly, be involved in a sport or two. If you aren't the athletic type much, try out for a simple sport like badminton or something. It will be easier on you,and it looks good on your college application. Have good impressions with all of your teachers. Ok, the AP courses: Most people just think that they can wing it. AP takes a lot of time to do homework for and study for. As soon as you come home take no more than a half an hour break to get ready for studying. You will have to squeeze all this in and if you can manage your time well, you will do great. I know this seems really overwhelming, but by the time you are done with high school, you will be in a great college. And 1400 is not at all a bad start for a seventh grader.My brother took the SAT in 7th grade and he got a 1750. But its still pretty good. Does a HONDA 2006 CRF 250r have to have a dual exhaust or can I just get a single?

It doesn't have a true dual exhaust. The pipe splits at the back of the motor into two canisters and is more of a novelty just to get the "dual" look. There is no performance gain. You can and many people have converted to a single pipe system. Aftermarket pipes do come in both single and dual configurations.

I tried changing the oil in my son's CRF 80 and now it won't turn over.?

I know that it is a 4 stroke so oil goes directly into the engine instead of the gas. I changed the gearbox oil and filled the engine up but it kept spurting out. After I got half a quart through that tiny hole in the engine I installed the spark plug but it wouldn't start. It felt like the engine was locked up but when I took the spark plug back out it kicked over fine but oil shot out of the engine. Anyway, every time I fill the engine up with oil it won't kick over. How do I keep the cylinder full if it won't even start? Should I get a new spark plug? The gear box oil was fine after I changed it and I have only had this problem since I changed the oil in the engine.

I'm only 17 and I think that I have ALS........ Im a male who had open heart surgery at 11 to repair a diseased aortic valve and Im currently only on Metoprolol Tartrate 50Mg and a Baby Aspirin..... I just had a check up with my cardiologist yesterday and he said he was pleased with how everything turned out and I wouldn't need surgery until im in my late 50's at worst..... Here is why I think I have ALS..... When I'm reading something I constantly miss read it , often inserting words into a sentence that are not there.... I don't know if you are interested in this information but it sounds like a lot of these things, adhd, depression, suicidal thoughts, self harm, and anxiety could be from having the autism. A lot of children with autism get these diseases/disorders. And of course the trauma probably plays a large part as well. Has he been to a psychiatrist and been on any medication? I don't want to really suggest that he should take medication but I have heard of a study with aripiprazole where it is coupled with an antidepressant to treat mild autism. This may be somethings you want to speak about with you child's doctor or a psychiatrist. The main thing to do is be patient and try to understand that what he is saying is because he is frustrated. Keep telling him you love him. When he says he hates you or "go kill yourself" tell him that you love him. Foxglove flowers, toddler and landlord trouble?

i would like to know what the legal status is concerning the removal of harmful/poisonous plants/flowers from the garden of a rented house. i have a young toddler who is almost 3 years old and two older children aged 10 and 12 but i am not concerned about them as they know and understand not to eat or chew on flowers. we also have two dogs. recently some foxglove flowers have appeared in our front garden (well, actually quite a lot of them) and i know that the entire plant is toxic, and children who have only drank some water from a vase that contained foxglove flowers have died from it. i am always outside with the toddler but as they are all over the place i am really worried that if i turn my back or look away for a few seconds he might decide to taste the colourful flower. i have asked my landlord if i could remove the plants for that reason but he says that i am not to touch them, thereby litterally confining me and my toddler indoors. i agree that they are beautiful and if they weren't toxic to all animal species including humans, i would love to keep them, but i am petrified for my son's safety (and my dogs too). is it legal for my landlord to keep plants that are toxic? i have printed off a sheet with the info on foxglove for him and i will show it to him in the hope that this wil change his mind because i don't think he believed me that the plants are toxic. fencing the plants off isn't a viable option as the garden is not exactly big and there are pockets of them in several places as well as all along the front and side wall. please tell me what you think.

They are respected because they have been perceived as higher than us. The king or queen that sits in the royal chair and watches the towns-person weep. Really though, that's what happens in a psychologist's office. Sexually charged behavior of 5 year old- inappropriate?

This is my first question here, and I'm hoping I will get some insightful answers. This will be lengthy and I apologize, but please allow me to explain the situation in full. I am 23 and am currently visiting my brother and sister- in- law for a couple of weeks. They have a five year old son who is a wonderful child, and generally very enjoyable to be around. However, a couple of days after I arrived, I was looking through my suitcase up in the guest bedroom when my nephew entered and closed the door behind him. I greeted him and he asked, "Want to play grown ups?" I said sure and asked him how you play. He started out by telling me we needed to go to the grocery store, preapre dinner, do the laundry. I went along with the game. Then he said it was "time to go to bed" and motioned for me to lie next to him on the floor. I obliged, not thinking anything of it, until he reached under my blouse and touched my breast. I quickly removed his hand and sat up but tried to remain calm as I know he's just a small child. I told him that was not at all appropriate and that it makes people feel very uncomfortable when they are touched in a private area, and to never do that to anyone again. He apologized to me, and then told me not to tell his parents because it would make his mommy cry if I did. Later in the evening, I did end up mentioning what happened to my sister-in-law, just to get her take on it and to make sure I had handled the situation appropriately since he is her child. She became very upset, and told me that this was very troubling because over the past several months this kind of thing has been an ongoing problem. He has been reprimanded twice at school for inappropriate touching of little girls. One incident was a kiss on the lips (that the little girl did not consent to apparently) which is probably rather innocent, but the second incident was his touching another little girl between the legs (also against the girl's will). He has an eight year old sister who has complained of having her nightgown lifted by my nephew even after repeated protestations from her. He has been told over and over and over again by teachers and his parents that acting on these body curiosities that he's having is just not appropriate and must be curbed. I completely understand that children will indeed explore things like this, but when does that type of behavior become excessive? I was compelled to ask for advice after playing with him alone again today. This time he told me we were going to play "boyfriend and girlfriend" and I told him that would be a silly game for us to play, because I am his aunt. He got off the topic and we began playing "superheroes" instead, but at one point during the game he approached me, took my face in his hands and pressed his open mouth against mine in a shockingly suggestive manner. I again tried to keep my composure and I told him that he cannot kiss me that way, that children and adults don't kiss each other that way. He responded with, "But I didn't touch your private parts this time." Perhaps I am over-reacting to this because I don't have children of my own, and I'm not a child psychologist, but his response very much alarmed me. He seems to have a very keen awareness of the impropriety of his behavior, but continues to do it anyway, and even begs me not to tell on him. I don't know what to say to my brother and sister-in-law, I don't know what to say to my nephew, and I'm really not sure what to think of the whole situation. I want to respond and act appropriately considering he is a child, but I do not want to have another incident where I am fondled, or made to feel uncomfortable by my own small nephew. I just don't think the behavior is completely innocent anymore. Am I wrong? Thoughts?

People can get their feelings hurt or can get offended for a variety of reasons. Sometimes they really care about the person that's doing the hurting/offending, and it's more about being let down by someone they care about. And don't even ask me what disappointment's about haha. I don't know how long you have been treated with meds but either way it does take time for getting a correct diagnose at times. Everyone is different and you have to be honest with both psychiatrist and psychologist to determine exactly what is going on.

Submitting my resume to hundreds of local government jobs, mostly construction and facilities. Some are also entry level accounting and clerical. Naturally accounting and clerical positions wouldn't consider a forty-something construction worker, but I have completed all of the admissions/acceptance process for an online, accredited BS in Accounting, just need funding. Help! crf 250 r wont run and leaking tranny fluid?

I have a 2004 crf 250 r I replaced all the valves on it and it ran like a champ then I was having starting problems put a new spark plug in ran, started right up everytime for about 10 hrs of course i did all the maintenance on it between rides. You are against CIO because you are a good mommy. It goes against every natural mothering instinct. It has bee proven that CIO is very dangerous to a child's emotional health and can possibly raise the risk of SIDS. What it teaches is that no matter how hard they try to get mommy's attention that mommy can't be bothered to tend to their needs. Just because we may think all their needs are met ie, fed, changed, burped, etc, doesn't mean they don't have a need. As a human babies need human contact. I wonder if your in-laws ever cried themselves to sleep. I have, and it is a horrible feeling. You don't get a good rest and often wake up miserable. I have heard that Dr Ferber (the father of the CIO movement) had no relationship with his adult children. I wonder why? I have a pretty lousy GPA, my last semester grades haven't been weighed in but as of now I have like a 2.97 weighted, 2.59 unweighted GPA. Because some people need advice on behavioral issues that cannot be treated with or do not require medication. You can't fix a marriage by taking Prozac, you have to work together with a therapist. Psychiatrists don't do therapy anymore - they used to, but they just prescribe medications these days.

I was riding my dirt bike (2006 crf 250r) and it made a clicking noise and shut off. I started it again and after a tough time it started again. It happened again (the clicking noise). i stopped and checked the oil, there wasn't a drip, it all leaked out of a hose connected to the engine and i need to know what happened. 2 stroke vs 4 stroke dirtbike?

this probably won't be used in a fish tank but I just wanted to see if it would work- ok so here we go, i was just thinking that is i made a small box maybe 15cm x 15cm and put it in the corner of the aquarium hanging over the water and put a pipe siphoning water from the tank into the box and the box had holes drilled in the bottom for the water to drain through back into the water. except if the box had filter sponge and rocks in it so the water had to pass through the sponge and filter to get to the drainage holes would it be filtered in the box and then drip back into the tank thereby filtering it. would this work?

How deep of water can you go in on a Honda Crf 230f dirtbike?

As long as the intake and exhaust stay above the water you can go as deep as you want. Just use high temp silicone over the spark plug wires where they meet the block and connect to the distributer. As long as you keep those 3 in mind, you can put the whole thing under water and it will keep running.

One week a month they get milk thistle to keep their livers clean and they get dried organic parsley blended into their raw/canned mix to assist kidney function. I also give them bottled water only, and in a mug to encourage drinking, since they seem to like it better than a bowl. I also blend water into their raw/canned mixture until it's a soupy consistancy. What else can I do?

good, but when stopping, slowly release throttle while pulling clutch in, and break. You don't necesarily have to be in neutral when stopped, but if you're stopped in 1st, HOLD THE CLUTCH IN. if not, the bike dies. Always release the throttle while clutching in when shifting ------ then reverse the process. Shouldn't take you too long to get used to.

Look, I hate to be so blunt, but I'd say the cat is dying. Renal failure is something that eventually can't be treated any more no matter how much money you have to throw at it. If this was my cat, and I've had a cat with renal failure, I would take it to the vet and have it put to sleep. She isn't going to survive this. It's a matter of time only. She isn't enjoying life much right now, isn't feeling good and is very unlikely to feel any better. Yes, the vet might be able to extend life a bit longer, but what's the point? Animals live in the moment. They don't have distant relatives to say goodbye to, they don't have financial arrangements to make before they die. Terrified of developing schizophrenia, please help?

Hi, I'm a 21 year old female and have had a variety of mental illnesses: generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) since the age of 6, depression since the age of 12 and bulimia nervosa since the age of 16. Many of my extended family members have mental illnesses as well; my cousin on my dad's side was severely depressed and killed herself, and my grandma on my mom's side has a delusional disorder. Because of my own personal battle with mental illness, I took an interest in psychology and would like to become a psychologist to help people like me. Right now, I am in college and am learning about practically every mental illness that can exist. The worst to learn about has been schizophrenia. A recovered patient described it as "a constant state of mental rape," and the general consensus is that it is a horrific, terrifying, life ruining disorder to have. Apparently, if you or a family member has a mental illness, this increases your chances of developing schizophrenia. Also, the typical onset time for women is late 20s or early 30s. This means I can still become schizophrenic. I'm so scared. I don't know what to do. If anyone is schizophrenic can you please offer me some advice? TTR 225 versus CRF 230?

hey i personally owned a ttr 225 and didn't really like it i thought it would be way faster then it was and didn't really fit my riding style.That bike is a excellent trail bike though and can conquer hill climbs. Its is however not a good jump bike and is pretty bulky. i was able to clock my ttr on a navigator at 63mph. If i were you i would expand my options into looking at 125 two strokes or a crf 150r. if you were only really looking at those bikes though i would say go with the 230, it is lighter,faster, and better for jumping. Two trans guys I knew both went through this, and while I can't speak for your own experience, they both said that it was because it was the one time of the month they couldn't ignore the biological mistake between their legs. one friend, we'll call him Sam, used a STP packer all the time; but he found it difficult when he had his period and it angered him bc he couldn't do anything about it at the time. Another friend, Bob, found the rise in estrogen irritating and made him angry because he would have mood swings, as well as cry spontaneously and he hated the lack of control. Both of them noticed that stopes after the T, but had assorted other mood things here and there, as is normal. If I had to guess, the rise in estrogen probably messes with your min and body, accountig or anger, mood, sex drive. I was seeing one psychologist for a short while for therapy. She told me that she specialized in medication even though she was not authorized to prescribe. I was on one medication that my actual psychiatrist had put me on. She instructed me to stop taking it, go to a physician she knew and get a prescription for a different specific medication and told me what dose to start at. This made me rather suspicious. Is this legal? She didn't write the prescription, but gave instructions on what to take, what not to take, and how much to take. I didn't think psychologists had any kind of authority to tell you to stop taking something. She seemed a bit crazy herself actually.

You can think better because marijuana has been shown to increase creativity and deep mental thinking, so it allows you to get more insight on math problems and other school problems. There isn't anything you can do, With all the disorders he has. But he may grow out of this attitude. There is also a chance he won't. Only time will tell, but you may want to see if there is anything that will make him calmer, like getting him something he likes (probably food wise) and doing every ONCE IN A WHILE (meaning not everyday though you probably knew that :P) then you can have a few minutes of hopefully peace and quiet.

Well it souds that your dad is a little (A LOT) effected by his childhood! You and your mom should communicate with him more just to make him fell like he's "involved". You should set down some rules with him (with your mom around) like not to take your laptop,cellphone,camera ect away because you shouldn't be punished for nothing. Not to be mean but you might want to study more to show him your responsable (even though you are). It is a good idea to get some counciling if this is really effecting you. You could have a family counciling if you want to like with you mom if you want her to know how this is really effecting you. You could even invite your dad to show him how you are feeling. The Name of the Game Is...?

Ok, so there was this computer game that I used to play when I was in middle school (approx. 10 yrs ago), and I am certain there is an updated form of the game to play, though I can't find it so I'm asking if anyone remembers the game I am about to describe: Now in the game I experienced, my mouse was a "spaceship" of some sort...I was placed in a square stage where there were two balls bouncing around. THe goal of the game was to click your mouse (spaceship) which in turn would make a barrier of sorts come out of either side of the "spaceship", and this "barrier" needed to reach each side of the stage before one of the balls hit it, thereby destroying it. But if the "barrier" persisted across the entire stage, it cut off that part of the stage. The ultimate goal was to cut off the percentage of the stage that the level required you to without "dying" (a ball hitting your "barrier") I dunno, I know I can't be the only one who's played this game or knows what I'm talking about, help me out, let me know :)

Since I do not have true knowledge about people I will set myself as reference. I am not sociopathic so I do feel, though I try to understand rather than repress it. Because of it I can filter the content of my mind and choose to be indifferent of whatever is not useful. I guess some people do not do it, so they are subject to instinctive emotional responses. They get offended, get aroused, get sad, get happy... instinctively i.e. they do not 'filter' the content of their feelings. Since you do not have any emotional response it is really difficult to explain what is like to feel, yet I can give a more simple objective explanation: it is like a machine repeating what it was meant to do, it does not analyze it just do it.

How to convince my parents that I'm not dieting but eating healthy ?

Hi,I used to be overweight (weighed about 160 lbs) when I was 14 my height is 5,10. I started dieting when I was 14 and a half years old because everybody at school bullied me, called me names, and obviously wanted a girlfriend . Now after dieting and fortunately reaching my goal I weigh 140 lbs with the same height. I started taking care and maintainig my weight by not eating high calorie foods,bread and fast foods. Currently I eat a lot of vegetables and fruit but my parents still think I'm dieting and tell me to stop or theyll send me to the psychologist but I'm happy the way I eat. Also my both parents are overweight and I try telling them that what they eat is unhealthy but they ignore me and since I eat a lot of fruit they think I ONLY EAT THAT ! , but I always prepare myself healthy meals according to the specific portion size which include many lean cuts of protein and vegetables. But my parents think I should eat more because they think I'm eating like a girl!.Also I work out daily and keep myself active.I eat about 2000 calories a day. I'm on a medication right now, for depression and sleeping problems, and it's helping me sleep a lot better, but not the depression.
