Why do my parents see a need for me to interact socially and have fun?? How can I convince them it is a waste?

Well, if that's the way you want to be, so be it. I'm sure you'll do some great things for this world. But, I'd you ever get tired of doing what your doing, regular life is pretty exciting :)
