I don't know what to do about my cat who has CRF (age 7) and has developed stones.?

My cat who was 14 had to be put to sleep because of his lungs filling with fluid, it was a disease with a version of cat AIDs. They told me that he was at the end of his rope and anything to help save him would just be a 'heroic act' and it wouldn't help him out in the long run. They told me it was easier on him and on us to put him to sleep, so we did. It helps me sleep at night knowing that he is happy somewhere in heaven, rather than suffering while we try to unsuccessfully save him. Talk to your vet about your cat's chances of living through this. If you have the money and time to help him out and his chances are all right, I suggest you should go through with the surgery, but afterwards you would need to put in a lot of time taking care of him.
